The Vindonian language is a constructed language mainly derived directly from reconstructed Proto-Indo-European. I have worked on this language on and off for at least a couple of years now.

I was free from my slavery during this past week, so I decided to compile an English to Vindonian wordlist. Of course, this wordlist is necessarily incomplete. The wordlist is in the PDF that appears below.

A few words are borrowed directly from Proto-Celtic (e.g. îsarna ‘iron’), and there are a number of words for things for which there was no PIE word, especially things discovered or invented in recent centuries, these words basically being adaptations of the modern words (e.g. banana ‘banana’, visjon ‘television’).

Nouns are followed by their plurals (and sometimes duals) in brackets. Verbs appear in the infinitive followed by the indicative perfective present form in brackets (I have recently decided to drop personal endings in Vindonian).

I may eventually post a grammar of Vindonian including verb conjugation tables. And I may eventually post an expanded version of this wordlist…
